Cultural Meeting Venues Now in 3D
Vilnius is continuing its long-term project to digitalise the city’s conference and event venues and has recently opened virtual doors to the capital’s spectacular theatres. Take a closer look at a few of many charming cultural venues situated in the heart of Vilnius.
The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre is the biggest theatre in Lithuania. The impressive historical building features a 1,000-seat Grand Hall, a 250-seat Chamber Hall and 1,000 m2 lobby with massive windows and spectacular chandeliers. Moreover, the newly upgraded stage offers limitless set-up opportunities for any kind of conference or gala event.
Meeting organisers are invited to take a 3D tour of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, one of the biggest theatres in Lithuania. The theatre features a newly built 350-seat New Hall opened in 2021, and a spacious reconstructed lobby that can host up to 600 delegates for various receptions. The theatre plans to open two more halls for events in the next year – a Grand Hall (450 seats) and a Small Hall (120 seats).
The State Small Theatre of Vilnius is a true gem for those looking for unique and almost untouched pieces of history. The building’s architecture is exceptional and features a main hall with a unique glass block ceiling. Only two ceilings of this kind have survived in Europe – one in Vilnius and another in Prague. The theatre's main hall can accommodate up to 226 people. Next to the hall there is a 142 m2 authentic design lobby.
The Dance Theatre offers a newly renovated hall with 404 seats and a cosy lobby with a bar on the second floor. The spacious stage is equipped with a huge screen as well as modern sound and lighting systems. The theatre can host various conferences, meetings and seminars, as well as music and dance performances. It is part of the Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis National School of Arts, a lively art hub with over 900 talented students performing various ballets and concerts.
