Located in Vilnius’ Antakalnis district, in the historic building of the Sapieha Palace complex, the National Visitor Centre invites guests to discover Lithuania’s protected areas - from ancient forests to open meadows and wetlands. Here, visitors can explore what is worth protecting and why, and learn why nature conservation is becoming increasingly important in today’s world.

The modern, visually engaging exhibition allows visitors to feel as if they are immersed in nature itself – surrounded by birds, grasshoppers and clouds. Interactive features, including a gear-based representation of the protected areas system and a laboratory table with nature puzzles, encourage learning through experience.

The centre introduces visitors to national and regional parks, nature reserves, protected areas and natural heritage sites. Every visitor becomes an active participant - able to touch, listen and discover. The cinema offers a virtual journey through the night-time natural world, where bats come to life, while younger visitors can enjoy interactive games about birds and other animals. Information terminals help plan trips and discover the most impressive destinations across Lithuania.
