The Iconic Pink Festival Coming Up This Week: What’s Not to Miss?
A rosy tidal wave is about to sweep through Vilnius, and we mean that literally. This Saturday, May 31st, the city will be bubbling with excitement (and soup) as the Vilnius Pink Soup Fest paints the town fuchsia.
The festivities are getting serious: Vilnius Railway Station has already turned pink, and even a train arriving from Riga looks like a temple of pink soup fandom. Cafés across the capital are serving up chilled, rosy-hued culinary delights, including pink pizza and beet cocktails, and the popular mobile cooking game Cooking Fever has joined the fun – adding pink soup to its digital menu in a new Vilnius-themed update. That’s right – Lithuania’s favorite cold soup is going virtual.

🥁 PINK SOUP PARADE
This brand-new parade will splash through Gediminas Street and the Old Town, turning heads and sidewalks a shade brighter. Think costumes, music, and enough pink to outshine a flamingo flash mob.
🏃♂️ PINK WAITERS’ RUN
Ever wondered how fast a waiter can run with a bowl of soup balanced on a tray? You’re about to find out. Inspired by Paris and Munich’s legendary server races, Vilnius is turning up the stakes – and the spills.
🎢 PINK SLIDE
It’s big. It’s pink. It’s a 50-meter slide into a giant inflatable soup bowl. This crowd favorite is back to give your inner child the ride (and the splash) of a lifetime.
🥚 PINK SOUP COSTUME COMPETITION
From human-sized eggs to beetroot ball gowns, this is your time to shine. Dress up in your most outrageous pink soup-inspired getup and compete for quirky prizes and eternal glory.
🌆 LANDMARKS GO PINK
From the TV Tower to the Opera and Ballet Theater, from Grand Hotel Vilnius to Stikliai Street, the whole city will be glowing pink. Even the smoke from the Vilnius Cogeneration Plant is joining the chromatic craze. (Yes, really.)
🍽 PINK SOUP ON THE MENU
Brace your taste buds: restaurants are dishing out every imaginable version of pink soup. Classic bowls, sure – but also pink soup-themed ice cream, pizza, cocktails, and even coffee. It’s deliciously weird, and that’s exactly the point.
Vilnius Pink Soup Fest ABCs
Back for its third edition, the Vilnius Pink Soup Fest is fast becoming one of Europe’s quirkiest and most photogenic summer kick-offs.
Last year drew over 42,000 revelers, and 2025 promises more: more flavor, more fun, more pink. This playful homage to Lithuania’s iconic cold beetroot soup, šaltibarščiai, celebrates everything we love about summer: cool dishes, warm vibes, and extra daylight that stretches until midnight.
