F.A.Q. about Vilnius Pink Soup Fest

The free city festival Vilnius Pink Soup Fest, as every year, invites everyone to celebrate pink soup in full color during the last weekend of spring. From May 29 to 31 this year, a variety of activities and entertainment will take place across the city. On May 29 and 30, Vilnius Town Hall Square will host performances by various music artists, while on May 30 and 31, the main festival entertainment area will be open near White Bridge. You can access the main festival area near White Bridge via Upės Street (vehicle traffic will be closed from Forum Palace to the end of the CUP shopping centre area) or via A. Goštauto Street through White Bridge.

Large crowds, noise, and heat can be stressful for pets, so we highly recommend leaving your furry friends safely at home. If you cannot do that, please take care of your pet's well-being and the safety of others, ensuring that your pet does not pose a threat to others. Keep your pet close to you on a leash throughout the event, and if necessary, use a muzzle.

You can report lost or found items at the event information center. There will be one of them operating in the area, and its exact location can be found on the event map.

The “Vilnius Pink Soup Fest” is a celebration for all residents of Vilnius and city guests, which is why access to the White Bridge area, performances in Cathedral Square, and other cultural entertainment is open to everyone and free of charge. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Some attractions in the festival area near the White Bridge will also require an additional fee.

Yes! Food trucks will be available throughout the event, offering a wide variety of delicious options. There will also be designated areas where you can purchase various drinks. Food and drink stalls will be located around the main square area.

Adequate biotoilets, accessible toilets, and washbasins will be provided throughout the event area, in easily accessible locations. Please follow the signage on-site.

Public order will be ensured by security personnel and police officers. All general safety measures for mass events will be applied to ensure public order. Aggressive or violent behavior will not be tolerated, and participants disrupting the event will be immediately escorted out. Any form of discrimination based on gender, race, nationality, age, sexual orientation, disability, etc., will not be tolerated. Every participant is part of the celebration and is responsible for creating a positive experience for everyone.

We encourage everyone to arrive at the festival using environmentally friendly transport options such as walking, cycling, or public transport. Therefore, there will be no parking available within the event area. This helps avoid traffic congestion and contributes to the overall well-being of everyone attending.

Traffic restrictions

From 28 May 2026, 20:00 to 31 May 2026, 21:00, parking will be prohibited on a section of Didžioji Street from building Didžioji g. 34 to Savičiaus Street, and on the Rotušės Square street section from Stiklių Street to Vokiečių Street (except for event transport with permits).

From 29 May 2026, 18:00–23:00 and 30 May 2026, 19:00–23:00, vehicle traffic will be prohibited on Didžioji Street and streets around Rotušės Square, while ensuring public transport circulation.

From 29 May 2026, 20:00 to 31 May 2026, 21:00, parking will be prohibited on a section of Upės Street from A. Nasvyčio Street to Kalvarijų Street (except for event transport with permits).

From 29 May 2026, 20:00 to 31 May 2026, 21:00, vehicle traffic will be prohibited on Upės Street from A. Nasvyčio Street to Konstitucijos Ave. 20.

From 30 May 2026, 07:00 to 31 May 2026, 21:00, vehicle traffic will also be prohibited on Upės Street from Kalvarijų Street to Konstitucijos Ave. 20.

A cycling path runs through the festival area, so cyclists are kindly asked to take into account the number of people attending the event and choose a safe speed and maintain safe distances.

Yes, lifeguards will be on duty in the Neris River throughout the event.

An emergency medical team and ambulances will be on duty within the event area throughout the festival. If you or someone nearby feels unwell, please immediately contact the emergency medical staff, volunteers, or security team.

Each person using the slide is responsible for their own safety and actions. Parents or guardians are responsible for minors. The organizer assumes no responsibility for injuries, accidents, or any other damage.

Yes, there will be 7 free hydration stations provided by Vilniaus vandenys within the event area, where you can refresh yourself at no cost. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle with you.

No, the festival will not be broadcast live. However, the event will be filmed and photographed throughout its duration. Photos and video material may be used for event promotion on social media, websites, press, and other communication channels.

  • If you receive a warning that an air threat is likely, start looking for the nearest shelter, remain alert, and follow information until the warning is lifted.

  • If you hear warning sirens or receive an emergency alert on your phone: Listen to announcements via Lithuanian National Radio or Television. Check messages on your mobile phone.

  • If the “Air Raid Warning” signal finds you outdoors or elsewhere, immediately find shelter (ditch, trench, underground passage, tunnel, basement) and take cover; remain calm and avoid panic, and alert relatives and neighbors. If instructed to take shelter, assess whether you can reach a designated civil protection shelter within a few minutes. If not, use the safest available room in the building (basement, ground-floor room, or any windowless room with strong walls and ceilings).

 

  • Likely air threat (yellow): No threatening objects are currently in Lithuanian territory. Residents are advised to stay calm, identify a safe place, and if they spot a suspicious flying or fallen object, call 112.

  • Air threat (red): An unidentified object is in Lithuanian airspace during peacetime or there is a high probability it will enter it and may pose a threat. Residents should immediately follow warning instructions: go to the nearest shelter, or if none is available, take cover in a safe indoor location following the “two walls rule,” take care of relatives, and monitor LRT and LT72.lt information.

  • No air threat (white): Residents may leave shelters and safe areas but are encouraged to remain alert and continue monitoring information.
