Moody‘s selects Green Hall business valley for its headquarters in Lithuania

Moody’s Corporation (Moody’s)—an essential component of global capital markets that provides credit ratings, research, tools and analysis that contribute to transparent and integrated financial markets—has chosen Green Hall business valley for its headquarters in Lithuania. More than 50 staff will be relocating to the top two floors of Green Hall 3 in March 2020. The move comes as Moody’s continues to expand its presence in Vilnius.

Environmental factors were a major consideration for Moody’s when selecting a new office location in Vilnius because the company is committed to supporting an environmentally sustainable future. Developed by the SBA group’s real estate company, Urban Inventors, Green Hall 3 is an A+ certified office complex, featuring a fully-transparent facade that overlooks the Neris river in Vilnius’s city centre. Its distinctive architecture–the leaning facade line–allows for the maximum amount of natural light to enter the workplace. In addition, a smart microclimate control system with geothermal heating that will have virtually no impact on the environment will be installed in the building, where the essential works are expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

“Moody’s chose Vilnius as its newest European office in large part because of the impressive talent available,” said Mariano Andrade Gonzalez, Moody‘s Lithuania CEO. “As we continue to grow our presence in Vilnius and hire more people, we want to be able to offer our employees optimal space that inspires them to thrive and also reflects who we are as a company.” Moody’s will design its new headquarters to align with its new “office of the future” initiative, which encourages more collaboration and communication by providing a diversity of workspaces for more activity-based interactions.

“The choice of Moody’s, one of the world’s leading credit rating agencies, to settle in the Green Hall business valley is a further confirmation that our strategy of building innovative, architecturally unique and environmentally friendly business centers is the right path to take,” said Lionginas Šepetys, CEO of SBA Urban Inventors. “Global corporations set high standards when it comes to the quality of the work environment. Therefore, our country’s ability to offer high-quality state-of-the-art offices, in addition to qualified staff, are one of the key incentives for multinational companies to choose Lithuania.”

The Green Hall 3 business center was designed by Danish architects Ulrik Raysse and Ricardo Paternina from Arrow Architects together with Lithuanian architects from Archinova. Moody’s will move to Green Hall 3 in March 2020 from its temporary office in Workland Didžioji, where it has been based since December 2018.
