Vilnius is Hotspot for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Leaders

After a successfully winning a bid submitted by Vilnius University (VU) and Go Vilnius Convention Bureau, Lithuania’s capital will be hosting the 14th European Conference on Atoms Molecules and Photons (ECAMP14) from 27 June to 1 July, 2022. Vilnius is known for its cutting-edge research in the field of atomic, molecular and laser physics carried out at Vilnius University and several other institutions, making it an ideal scientific environment for a major AMO conference like ECAMP.

ECAMP is a tri-annual conference series organised by the Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Division (AMOPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS). This year’s conference will gather 400 thought leaders from around the world to further scientific and interpersonal exchanges after a long pandemic-related interruption. The five-day scientific programme will be led by 85+ speakers and panellists from over 20 countries, including European countries, USA, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and more.

In addition to the main conference programme, ECAMP14 will host several General Assemblies and technical tours to the Light Conversion laser company and the VU Physics faculty labs. With over half a century of expertise behind it, the laser sector is now one of Vilnius’ keys sectors and 90 of the world’s top 100 universities (QS Ranking) are using Lithuanian lasers and laser systems. This promises to offer all participant an ideal scientific environment and vibrant technology community to engage with.

ECAMP14 will take place at Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, situated in downtown Vilnius.
