Events in Prison? Why not!

The 117-year-old Lukiškės Prison, has turned a new page after being transformed into a unique event venue, cultural and entertainment hub, moreover, a recognized shooting location for Netflix’s Stranger Things. To add a more artistic spirit to the place, 250 artists, musicians and creators have established studios in the ex-prison’s spaces. Its originality and a wow-factor make it the first event venue of its kind in the entire Baltic Region.

Lukiškės Prison 2.0 is located in the city centre, right in the central business district, next to the Parliament and Vilnius’ main artery, Gediminas avenue. The imposing structure and layout, with all its original fittings, is comprised of six buildings: a prison, a hospital, administration buildings, the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church and two spacious courtyards with an area of 2,000 sq. m.

The prison’s spaces are perfectly suited to cater to any kind of event: from a conference in the church for up to 200 pax., a smaller private event in the Conference Hall for up to 60 pax., to creative incentive or teambuilding activities in the prison’s corridors and cells, incorporating a spooky night-time tour. Options like concerts, festivals, exhibitions or even a conference in the two connecting spacious courtyards for up to 1,700 participants are also available.
