Vilnius Wins Bid to Host European Communication Conference 2028

Vilnius has been selected to host the 12th European Communication Conference (ECC 2028) on 26–29 September 2028, marking the first time the conference will be held in the Baltic countries. Organised by the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), a leading European association for communication and media scholars, the biennial event is expected to bring around 1,600 participants from Europe and beyond to the Lithuanian capital.

Hosted by Vilnius University’s Faculty of Communication, ECC 2028 will strengthen Vilnius’ visibility within the European academic and research community and create new opportunities for international collaboration. The conference is estimated to generate approximately €2.15 million in business sales in Vilnius.
