Vilnius to Host Cities for Talent 2027

Vilnius will welcome talent attraction and retention professionals from across Europe in 2027 as Go Vilnius hosts the next Cities for Talent meeting. Its International House Vilnius team will lead the preparations, building on previous editions in Barcelona, Utrecht, Bologna and Brno.

Cities for Talent is the annual gathering of the International Talent Network, a European community of expat centres, international houses and public institutions, including Go Vilnius. Members exchange practical approaches to attracting international professionals, supporting their careers and helping them settle into local communities.

The International House Vilnius team played an active role at the 2026 meeting in Brno, sharing its experience across three workshops. Topics included measuring the impact of talent services, communicating through the “Vilnius Is My City” initiative, and supporting international professionals' careers.

As the Go Vilnius team dedicated to helping newcomers settle in the city, International House Vilnius brings first-hand experience to these discussions. Its work combines relocation guidance, career support and community activities, addressing both the practical steps of moving and the connections that help people feel at home.

“Hosting Cities for Talent is a chance to show our European colleagues how we help international professionals build a life in Vilnius, and to learn from their experience. Our team works with newcomers every day, so we know how much practical support and a sense of belonging matter. We look forward to bringing that experience into the meeting and welcoming the network to Vilnius,” says Indrė Laučienė, Head of International Talent Department at Go Vilnius.

For Vilnius, the meeting offers an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with European cities and introduce visiting professionals to the city and its approach to welcoming international talent. It also shows how local expertise and participation in international networks can bring specialist events to the capital.
