Regulatory Support

Lithuania’s central bank and financial supervisor, the Bank of Lithuania (BoL), has launched several FinTech-focused initiatives supporting both new entrants and established companies:

One-stop guidance for companies entering Lithuania’s financial market, covering licensing and regulatory requirements.

A live environment where financial market participants can safely test innovative products and services under the supervision of the Bank of Lithuania. Open to genuine innovations that benefit consumers, require real-world testing, and are ready to launch in Lithuania’s financial market.

Operated by the Bank of Lithuania, CENTROlink gives licensed EEA payment providers access to SEPA and TARGET2 systems, enabling instant payments around the clock, alongside standard transfers and direct debits.

The world’s first regulator-run blockchain sandbox, LBChain empowers FinTechs and startups to research, test, and adapt blockchain-based services in a live, supervised environment. The platform also enables companies to develop and deliver advanced, client-facing innovations, accelerating adoption of blockchain technology across Lithuania’s financial market.
