Alternatively, you can contact a recruitment agency to help with your job search. Here are some recruitment agencies that work extensively with international companies:

It depends on how long you plan to work:

  • Up to one year: Apply for a multiple-entry national visa.

  • Longer than one year: Apply for a temporary residence permit (usually 2 years; highly qualified employees may receive 3 years, renewable).
While your residence permit is processed, you can obtain a multiple-entry visa to start working.

  • Blue Card holders (non-EU):

    • Six-month grace period: If you lose your job, you have six months to find new employment in Lithuania.

    • Changing employer after 1 year: Notify the Migration Department; you do not need a new Blue Card.

    • Changing employer within first year: Submit a new Blue Card application.

  • EU workers: Fewer restrictions; no fixed grace period. You can search for a new role at your own pace.

Always consult immigration authorities or legal experts and keep records during job transitions.
