On June 12, as part of Culture Night in Vilnius, the experimental music and sound art performance 'Vilnius / Lviv interlinked' will be presented at Bėgių Park Hangar (Pelėsos g. 10, Vilnius).
The project brings together the sonic landscapes of Vilnius and Lviv into a live, immersive composition. Field recordings made by composer Dominykas Digimas are layered with electronics, improvisation and live performance by the ensemble 'Bottlenecks'.
The work invites audiences to experience an imagined landscape between two cities, where urban rhythms, traces of history and contemporary tensions intertwine. The industrial setting of the hangar becomes an integral part of the performance, reinforcing themes of movement, transit and sonic intersections.
Performers:
• Diemantė Merkevičiūtė (MER) – violin, effects pedals
• Vytautas Oškinis – flutes
• Dominykas Snarskis – percussion
• Andrius Merkevičius – readings of Ukrainian poetry
Founded in 2024, the ensemble 'Bottlenecks' is active in the field of contemporary music in Lithuania and across Europe, collaborating with artists from different disciplines and developing experimental and interdisciplinary performance formats.
