On the Vilnius Christmas before Christmas Day, the Skalvija Cinema Center invites you to see the most Christmassy film. Director Frank Capra's film It's a Wonderful Life (1946) is one of the most beloved and recognizable classic films in the world, and watching it has become an integral part of Christmas traditions.

George Bailey lives in a small American town – he is an ordinary man whose everyday life is full of sincerity and helping others. He gives up his dreams to keep his father's small business, which is so important to the community. As the years go by, a greedy and cynical businessman takes over the town, making everyday life miserable, and George feels trapped between duty and lost desires. One fateful Christmas Eve, having lost all hope, he meets the angel Clarence, who shows him what the world would be like without George. He realizes that even the simplest things leave a deep mark on the lives of others, and that true happiness lies not in what we lack, but in what we already have. N-7

During the festive month of December, municipal companies JUDU and Vilnius Public Transport will present a new feature to residents and visitors: a free, Christmas-decorated bus will run on a special route, inviting passengers to enjoy the festively decorated center of Vilnius.

Continuing a beautiful tradition, this December JUDU, together with the ARtyn choir, will invite you to live holiday concerts on public transport – to make your journeys even warmer and more convivial. You can listen to the choir on the regular 3G route at 16:50, traveling from Perkūnkiemis (Skalvių St.). Route: Perkūnkiemis–City Center–Airport.

This year, Vilnius is the European Green Capital and the European Christmas Capital. These two titles invite us to celebrate differently – sustainably and consciously. After all, the best gift is time spent together: creating, learning, and sharing inspiration with loved ones.

On December 13, Christmas Halė market will host free creative workshops for the whole family: paint a gift for a friend, try your hand at knitting, give objects a second life, or transform skateboard fragments into a small gift. Simple skills, less waste, and more meaningful moments. On that day, the Halė Market will operate as usual – you will find responsible gifts and delicious local flavors.

Location: Halė Market, Pylimo St. 58
