Vilnius’ Commitment to Making Events Truly Matter

These days, running a smooth event is no longer enough. Associations want their meetings to leave a lasting, meaningful difference, something that stays with people long after the last session ends. That’s why Vilnius partners early and closely with organisers to create events that don’t just tick boxes but genuinely make an impact.

Whether advancing disability rights, championing LGBTQ+ inclusion, protecting children, or sparking new breakthroughs in science and technology, Vilnius is about more than just hosting conferences — it’s about shaping legacies together.

Here are just a few examples of how Vilnius is already doing this, with many more to come:

  • EDF General Assembly & Conference 2025: Hosting the European Disability Forum, Vilnius is committed to improving accessibility and independence for people with disabilities across the EU, investing in inclusive venues and city infrastructure.

  • ILGA-Europe Annual Conference 2025: Bringing together over 600 delegates to promote LGBTQ+ rights, this event benefits from strong local support, helping to foster a more open and welcoming community.

  • ISPCAN Congress 2025: Vilnius will host global experts in child protection, spotlighting urgent issues and reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for social justice. Alongside the congress, the Rise Up Policy Forum will bring together policymakers, practitioners, and survivors to drive stronger child protection laws and meaningful global action, amplifying the event’s lasting impact beyond the conference itself.

  • ECML PKDD 2024: This leading machine learning conference sparked new research partnerships and influenced digital policy, establishing Vilnius as a hub for innovation and AI.

These are just a few stories — Vilnius is ready to do much more. The city believes the best results come from true partnerships where organisers and destinations share goals and values. It’s about purpose, collaboration, and creating real change, not just ticking boxes.

And this is only the beginning. Many more inspiring events and initiatives are on the horizon as Vilnius continues to grow as a city where meetings truly matter.
