Bazaarvoice – a US company that connects brands and retailers to consumers so that every shopping experience feels personal – has just announced adding Vilnius to its list of office locations. In the following six months, the company working with some of the world’s leading retailers such as QVC, Debenham’s and Argos, is seeking to hire specialists with backgrounds in Implementation Engineering, Technical support and Finance. High-profile jobs aside, Bazaarvoice is also bringing its empowering, innovative and collaborative work culture to the Lithuanian capital.
“Passion, innovation, authenticity, generosity, respect, teamwork and performance are our core values as a company, and from what we have seen and heard – many Lithuanian professionals share them as well,” says Ryan Robinson, Chief People Officer at Bazaarvoice. “We’re excited about opening our newest office location in Lithuania to further our culture of collaboration.”
Bazaarvoice has long-term plans in Lithuania, with 60-80 new hires projected in the first six months. After building its core team, the company seeks to grow the Vilnius branch even more. Dub Landgrebe, VP of Technical Support at Bazaarvoice, will help the initial team of employees integrate better into the company’s global family that currently operates in the US, France, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Germany and Australia.
“We invite everyone with the right qualifications to join us as we innovate in e-commerce and digital marketing to improve shopping experiences for brands and retailers around the world,” states Robinson. “At Bazaarvoice, we prioritize employee empowerment, encourage our employees to learn and collaborate with other teams, and provide career development opportunities that allow employees to take on new challenges. We hope to welcome many new faces from Lithuania to the Bazaarvoice family in the months to come.”
The company has a network of more than 5,700 client websites representing leading brands and retailers across a wide range of industries including apparel, automotive, consumer electronics, retail, and travel. Each month in the Bazaarvoice Network, more than one-half billion consumers view and share authentic consumer-generated content, including ratings and reviews as well as curated visual content.
“Bazaarvoice joins the ranks of Vilnius-based innovative companies that care for their employees as much as they care for their clients,” Mantas Katinas, Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency Invest Lithuania, believes. “Lithuanian talents are already used to the global business culture and can bring much more than their formal education to the table. We have seen success in such fields as advertising technology, game development, and fintech, so it’s no surprise that innovators from other industries discover us as well.”
“The US is one of the main markets bringing companies that develop B2B software solutions to Lithuania. Of course, the complexity of the developed product impacts not only the salaries but also the range of competencies specialists receive while working on the product. This is especially important at this stage, as we have already witnessed how young professionals with work experience in international IT companies transfer their skills to startups, thus helping the developing ecosphere grow,” states Virginijus Sinkevičius, Lithuania’s Minister of Economy.
Established in 2005, Austin-based Bazaarvoice currently employs more than 750 people across three continents.
